In this article you will learn step-by-step procedures for proper jump start to discover the battery of your car.

Preparatory stages

A start-up requires two vehicles, and their jumpers - or booster - the vehicle. Park the vehicle battery booster as close as possible to its own, without touching the car. Then turn the engineoff (just like the radio and other devices) and set the parking brake on both cars.

Take a look at your jumper cables. You will be connected to a red terminal and the other will be connected to a black terminal. Ideally, the cables are heavy and metal brackets should be totally free of corrosion.

Check out the posts of both batteries. Will be positive and the other is negative. The positive contribution should be a plus sign and the negative ("+")must be marked with a minus sign ("-").

Making Connections

First close one of the red to the positive terminal on the battery empty. Make sure the connection is secure. Then connect the other terminal of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the booster car battery.

Connect a jumper cable, the two terminals blacks for the negative contribution of the car at the moment. Then connect the last remaining hook to the body of the vehicle or of a metal bottom somewhereon the engine.

The text of the charge

Jumper start the vehicle and had two or three minutes at idle. Then start your car and let it idle. If the engine refuses to turn around, turn it off. There are probably other issues to be resolved. If you are persistent and keep trying to turn the engine, it can damage the starter.

Suppose you are able to start your vehicle, pull the ends of the cables in the same orderblindfolded them. Then either connect the battery charger or car about 20 minutes before starting the engine.
